Second stop in our conventions series — and this one comes with a firsthand endorsement. We were at Ecom Elevated this spring, and Commerce Catalyst is doing something real: actually knitting Utah’s e-commerce community together. Operators talking to operators, no pitch gauntlet, and the kind of hallway conversations you can’t get on a webinar.
So yes — we’re going back for the Fall edition. And it lands the same week as the Salt Lake City eCom Summit, which makes late August the best stretch of the year to be an e-commerce operator in Utah.
The event
Ecom Elevated Fall runs August 24–25, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center. It’s put on by Commerce Catalyst, the crew behind Utah’s twice-a-year Ecom Elevated conferences.
The fall theme is all things digital marketing: influencer, email, paid media, creative strategy, and retention — the channels actually driving revenue right now.
What makes this one different
The format goes beyond panels. Keynotes from founders who’ve scaled for real. Workshops where an expert walks through their actual playbook. And roundtables — a brands-only format that puts about twenty operators in a room on one topic: acquisition funnels, email tactics, agency partnerships.
The headliner this fall: Creator Matchmaking. On the afternoon of August 24, hundreds of creators show up to meet brands face to face, with an opt-in system to swap contact info. If you’re building on TikTok Shop or growing an affiliate program, that single afternoon could be worth the ticket.
What we saw in the spring
The spring edition sold us. The roundtables were the standout — real operators comparing notes on Amazon, hiring, and sourcing without anyone selling from the stage. The sponsor floor was curated rather than crowded, and the room ran from nine-figure brands to first-year founders without feeling cliquey. Utah’s e-com scene is deep, and this is where it actually shows up.
Why we’re going
Same drill as always: while the sessions run, we spend our time with the vendors and sponsors — asking what their products actually do, who they’re really for, and what they cost. After the two days, we’ll publish the rundown here, alongside our report from the eCom Summit the week before. One trip, two events, one big vendor report for you.
Should you go?
If you run an e-commerce brand in or near Utah and your growth questions are marketing-shaped — creators, email, paid, retention — this is the one to pick. Registration and details: https://www.ccatalyst.co/events/ecom-elevated-fall/
Going to be there?
Come find us — we’ll be the ones asking vendors the awkward pricing questions. If there’s a tool or booth you want us to check out on your behalf, reply to this email. And subscribe to get the full August vendor report when it drops.
PBJay isn’t affiliated with Commerce Catalyst — we’re just fans who bought tickets.
