PBJay, LLC ("PBJay," "we," "us," or "our") operates pbjay.ai, publishes ecommerce content and newsletters, and provides ecommerce consulting. This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, retain, and delete information. PBJay, LLC is located at 2522 Manzoni Rd, Santa Clara, UT 84765. This Policy applies to pbjay.ai visitors and subscribers, people who contact PBJay, and consulting clients and prospects. PBJay currently supports businesses operating in the United States Amazon store (Amazon.com).
Website and communications. We may collect information you submit, including name, business name, email, telephone number, marketplace, inquiry details, newsletter preferences, and communications. Our website and newsletter provider, beehiiv, may process subscription, delivery, engagement, device, browser, IP-address, cookie, and similar technical information needed to operate, secure, and measure the website and newsletter.
Consulting. We may collect business contact information, service requirements, contracts, billing and payment status, communications, files you provide, and information about ecommerce operations, products, catalogs, advertising, inventory, account health, reporting, and marketplace performance.
Amazon Information. When consulting requires access to a client's Amazon account, the client grants access through Amazon's authorized Solution Provider or Authorized Partner permissions. PBJay does not request or accept a client's primary Amazon username, password, access key, secret key, or shared user credentials.
Depending on authorized services and permissions, PBJay may access seller business information such as listings, inventory, pricing, account health, case logs, advertising information, and performance reports. PBJay requests only the minimum roles reasonably necessary. PBJay does not intentionally access buyer personally identifiable information unless necessary for a specifically authorized service, permitted by Amazon, and covered by the applicable role and agreement.
PBJay uses information only as reasonably necessary to operate and secure the website and newsletter; respond to inquiries; scope, administer, and perform consulting; carry out expressly authorized services; maintain business, security, and compliance records; prevent fraud, misuse, and incidents; and comply with law and applicable Amazon policies.
PBJay does not sell or rent personal information. PBJay does not use Amazon seller or customer information to train artificial-intelligence models, build unrelated advertising profiles, re-identify individuals, or conduct cross-client analytics or benchmarking. PBJay does not use one client's Amazon Information for another client's benefit.
Access to Amazon Information is limited to approved personnel with a documented business need. PBJay requires unique accounts, least-privilege access, appropriate authentication, confidentiality, and security awareness. Access is reviewed periodically and removed within 24 hours after termination or when changed responsibilities eliminate the business need.
Clients control their Amazon permissions and may change or revoke them through Amazon. PBJay removes its access when an engagement ends or access is no longer authorized.
PBJay may disclose information to service providers supporting its website, newsletter, communications, scheduling, document storage, security, billing, and professional operations. beehiiv processes website and newsletter information on PBJay's behalf. PBJay limits providers to information needed for assigned functions and requires appropriate confidentiality and data protection where applicable.
PBJay may disclose information when required by law or legal process; to protect rights, security, or safety; or in a business transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards and required notice. PBJay does not disclose Amazon Information to an unauthorized third party.
PBJay maintains safeguards appropriate to the information and services involved. These include HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls, multifactor authentication for supported accounts, device and malware protection, secure credential practices, least-privilege permissions, access reviews, risk assessment, and incident-response procedures. No security program can guarantee that an incident will never occur.
PBJay prohibits storing Amazon Information on unapproved removable media, personal devices, or publicly shared storage. Amazon credentials and restricted information must not be stored unencrypted.
PBJay retains website, newsletter, contact, contract, billing, and consulting information only as long as reasonably necessary for its collection purpose, security and business records, or legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations.
Amazon Information is retained only as long as strictly necessary for an authorized service. PBJay permanently and securely deletes it within 30 days after the earliest of: Amazon requests deletion; the client revokes authorization, ends the engagement, or removes access; PBJay is no longer authorized or no longer has a business need; or PBJay's participation in the applicable Amazon service ends or expires, unless longer retention is legally required.
Amazon buyer PII, if accessed, is retained no longer than 30 days after the related order is delivered unless law requires longer. Any required extended retention is documented, access-restricted, and protected. Non-PII Amazon Information is retained only as long as strictly necessary for its documented purpose. PBJay uses reasonable secure-deletion procedures designed to prevent reconstruction. Send deletion requests to [email protected].
PBJay's incident process covers preparation, monitoring and detection, identification, containment, eradication, recovery, notification, and lessons learned. PBJay will notify Amazon through Amazon's designated security-incident channel within 24 hours after detecting an incident involving Amazon Information and will provide other notices required by law or contract.
PBJay and beehiiv may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver the website and newsletter, remember preferences, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate engagement. You may control cookies through your browser and unsubscribe using the link in an email.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or opt-out. PBJay may verify your identity and authority and may retain information when law or an exception permits. Send requests to [email protected]. If applicable law provides an appeal right, reply to PBJay's decision with the subject "Privacy Appeal."
PBJay's website and consulting services are intended for businesses and adults. PBJay does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact [email protected] if you believe a child submitted information.
PBJay is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and where PBJay's providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.
PBJay may update this Policy for changes in services, practices, legal obligations, or Amazon requirements. The effective date will be updated. PBJay will provide additional notice of material changes when required by law.
